Randi - Born in Schenectady, raised in Schenectady/Rotterdam. Randi has a fantastic husband and 3 incredible daughters, Jess, Ali and little Em and the coolest pooch ever, Mr. Harold Dobbs! She lives just moments outside Saratoga and hopes to someday ride her new Harley somewhere other than a parking lot or around her cul de sac and to publish a book of her hysterically pathetic childhood.
Tred - Born in Albany, raised in the Berkshires... Trent has a beautiful wife Amy and two amazing daughters, Carys and Alexa. Chet lives in Saratoga or "the Toga" as he likes to put it and enjoys long walks, golf, sports, cheese and playing radio with his friends. Announces
Its First Annual Dip & Sip Dog Swim and Picnic
Peppertree Rescue, Inc is announcing its first ever Sip & Dip Dog Swim and Picnic. The event will be held on Saturday August 23, 2008 at the Grafton Lakes State Park in Grafton, NY. The event will begin at Noon and run until 3 pm, rain or shine.
The Dip & Sip Dog Swim and Picnic will benefit dogs in our care who are awaiting their forever homes and those dogs who are awaiting room within our program. Peppertree Rescue alters all dogs within our program and provides them with heartworm vaccinations, or treatments as necessary, as well as distemper, rabies and bordatella vaccines. We also provide other medical treatments that may be needed.
Peppertree Rescue is an all volunteer organization who rescues dogs of good temperament that need new homes. We cooperate with and assist other rescues, shelters and animal control. We also educate the public about how to obtain a companion animal.
The registration fee is $20 which will include parking, swimming admission for 1 dog and 1 adult picnic meal. It will be an additional $5.00 for each additional dog or meal. You must pre-register through our website, www.peppertree.org, to have your parking included; otherwise you will have to pay the NYS Parks fee of $ 7.00. We will take day of admissions, but it’s a better deal to pre-register and pre-pay.
There will be a maximum of two dogs per individual. We respectfully request that any aggressive dogs be left at home. We reserve the right to turn away dogs who cannot get along well with others. You must be in control of your dog(s) at all times. Dogs MUST be up to date on their rabies vaccinations. Proof of rabies vaccination is required by either the tag or certificate. You will be responsible for picking up after
your own dog(s). Clean up material will be on hand for the day. Only dogs will be allowed to swim at this location.
